Not Every LiftMaster Has a Numeric Display
Older or lighter-duty LiftMaster and Chamberlain residential operators use status LEDs rather than a 2-digit screen. On those, watch the green XMITTER and red LEARN LEDs and the EYES/EDGE indicators on the board. If your unit beeps on a command, that usually points to a held safety input or a low wireless-edge battery (Code 46), not a separate "beep code" system like Mighty Mule or Ghost Controls use.

Never Bypass Your Photo Eyes
Photo eyes and edge sensors are monitored entrapment protection devices required under UL 325. A LiftMaster operator needs at least one working monitored device to run at all (that is what Code 60 means). Disabling a safety eye to "make the gate close" removes legally required crush protection and creates a serious injury risk. Fix the eye, do not bypass it.

Most current LiftMaster gate operators run on a 24V DC battery system charged by an AC transformer or solar, with the motor running off the batteries so the gate keeps working during a power outage.
